Helmets, Hats and Acne

Ever notice increased breakouts on the forehead and chin from the helmet and strap? This happens due to the bacteria that lives there from previous use and/or friction. Inflamed acne doesn’t like friction and friction causes bacteria from one part of your face to travel to another. What can you do?

First, on clean/toned skin, apply sunscreen all over the face, then a thin layer of Vaseline on the forehead and strap area before suiting up. This provides the skin a protective barrier from bacteria and friction.
After, wipe with your face with the toner we have provided you until you get home (we suggest pre-soaking a cotton round at home, stored in a zip-lock). Our toners have anti-bacterial action that has been selected for your skin and acne type. When you hit the showers, wash and tone your face with the products we have provided you.

These steps will go a long way to decreasing breakouts in these areas. Getting acne under control is about doing many things right.  I didn’t say it was going to be easy…I said it was going to be worth it!
